My Bio

I have 38 years of journalism experience, having written for ten newspapers and some magazines as well as web sites. I continue to get published online and and am a regular contributor to Medium. I wrote for associatedcontent.com, later bought out by Yahoo Voices from 2005-2012. In that capacity I won two writing awards and in 1991 I earned a Florida Press Association Award. While attending the University of West Georgia I was granted a journalism scholarship and served on the newspaper staff all four years.
